I lost a friend.

On Wednesday, June 25, 2008, our friend Julie Steiskal lost her life while trying to save the life of another in northern Minnesota. Julie touched so many lives in such a powerful way.

Thank you, Julie, for the inspiration and all you’ve taught me. We will miss you.

I finally had the opportunity to photograph a family in my hometown, Waconia, MN.

Sarah, Maddy and Jacob did an awesome job - what a good looking family!
